About our Theatre Program

Our theatre department is going through many exciting changes this school year. First and foremost, we have a brand new director, Mr. Wilson-Brown! He is new to GCISD and learning the ropes as this school year gets underway. GMS has produced many stage productions throughout the last few years, from Musicals to One Act Plays, Dinner Theatre to Student Led Plays. And this year is no different, we already have an action packed calendar! We are so thrilled at the growth and interest shown by both the students and the community towards our budding program!

At GMS, we wish all of our students to get to experience the joy of being involved in theatre. Please check this website often for audition information!

If you are interested in the GMS Theatre Program, or have questions, please contact our Director at David.Wilson@gcisd.net.  We look forward to seeing you at our next show!

About our Director

This is the 10th year in public education for Mr. Wilson-Brown.  Last year he served as the Theatre Director at Newman Smith High School in CFBISD, and for the previous 8 years he was the Theatre Director at Watauga Middle School in Birdville ISD.  As an alum of Grapevine High School and a former student at GMS, he's excited to be serving in the district that played a huge role in his success.  Along with his experience in the classroom he is a professional actor and director, and utilizes this skillset to guide students towards success in the arts.  He and his wife have two boys, ages 9 and 1.  He looks forward to sharing the wonderful gift of being on the stage with your students. Mr. Wilson-Brown is excited to be part of the GMS family!
